      When there’s a demand for anything, and people are willing to pay good money for it - human beings will find a way to make it happen. Same thing goes for human-made art. We’ll develop AI technology to identify and validate whether art or media is authentic. Same reason why people will spend extra money for services like stockX to authenticate sneakers, even tho the technology already exists to make replicas indistinguishable from the original manufacturer.

    your missing the point here - you can't compare photography and other art forms to 'ai art'. photography can stand on its own and doesn't rely on scraping of other people's art in order to exist. To even call AI "Art" is stupid - there's no creative process behind it like in any other art form. And as long as it screws over artists by stealing their art work, I wouldn't even use it in the process. I think people calling it the future are delusional. YEah it won't go away, but people are already sick of it. It's just a cheap generic copy trying to profit of people's real art work. It can't produce originals or be inspired because it's not 'intelligent' as the name says but literally takes pieces of artists that are usually used in the input and mashes them together. Something that would anywhere else violate copyright laws. It's not and never will be an art form.

    • @Tre-333
      @Tre-333 Месяц назад

      I think you’re missing my point. I disagree that Ai art is “worthless”, clearly it can create things at a much faster pace and with zero effort compared to your average 21 year old art school graduate. To bury your head in the sand and expect everyone else to follow (especially non-designers/artists) is naive. The economics will play themselves out - and if you don’t adapt and accept the reality AI art is here to stay, you’re gonna be outcompeted by artists who WILL use AI. That’s not me being a dick, it’s just my advice to help people. Also to argue that it’s not art, that’s simply your subjective opinion. If you ask the average person, they’ll find AI generated art aesthetically pleasing and I already see it being used for commercial purposes. Which is what led me to the theory that collectively we are going to redefine what “great art” is by valuing its process. Which is similar to how the camera made ‘concept’ more important than attaining the technical skill needed to achieve realism. That’s why I used photography as an analogy. It wasn’t a 1:1 comparison

    • @koirena
      @koirena Месяц назад

      @@Tre-333 what you are describing is purely a cheap product. If you think art is just a product, yeah than that’s that. You will probably never understand art. You just want to cheapen the value of creative work. You say you value process but you clearly don’t. Ai is a tool that’s just avoiding the process of creativity and creation and the market is already oversaturated with trash ai art. In the end what gives art value, besides the artwork is the human behind it and the story they are telling with their art. People see if someone just wants to cash in or actually wants to entertain and tell a story. It’s an expression of something. People don’t only support the artwork itself, but the brand (the person behind it) and the experience they have with them. If you lack a story and never went through the process of creating something yourself, you can’t call it art. Also I know many art students and Art graduates whose work I already love, it’s awesome to see their progress and see them developing their own unique style. Not everything has to look ‘perfect’ either. It’s the opposite really, the artwork that ai is often spitting out are these overly perfect replications, that simply lack soul. You praise cheap products that by no definition can be defined as art. It’s also not made by you. It’s made by a machine. And for the outcome of your prompt you don’t even own the copyright. And telling people to jump on the AI “art” bandwagon reminds me when the same thing was told about NFTs and well we all know how that turned out…

    • @koirena
      @koirena Месяц назад

      @@Tre-333 and let’s say everyone stops doing art today. Where will the artwork come from that machines use “to learn” (aka steal from) in the future? Eventually everything just gets recycled and trash is feeding itself, with the outcome of more trash.

    love the video man! Really interesting to hear your takes . I've been thinking about this a lot because A.I music generators have seen a massive improvement lately. I feel like we could be pretty screwed, but I have faith that there will always be a large number of people who will only be interested in human art. For example, it's been possible for a very long time to take a person who looks really good and completely fake their vocals in the studio and have them lip sync at every concert, but nobody actually does that cause audiences don't seem to enjoy it. A video id be interested to see from you is what impact the A.I generators have had on the industry so far, both on people who design stuff for commercial uses and the people who make a living just creating their own artworks (like beeple for example). And maybe your thoughts on the music generators like suno and udio, and what will happen when those programs become as advanced as stuff like dall e.

    • @Tre-333
      @Tre-333 Месяц назад

      Appreciate the kind words man! I think AI art is gonna coexist with human made art, and each will serve their own purposes. Like for pop music, people will care less about whether their music, vocals or writing were AI generated but for serious “singer-songwriters” using AI as a crutch will be frowned upon. Kinda like when Drake got exposed for using ghost writers, the general public still enjoy his music but a lot of hip hop heads haven’t respected him the same since. I’m not a big techie (so I’d have to do more research to explain this better) but I think as we move into AI/meta spaces more the concept of validated identity will start applying to artists/musicians. And that could possibly be a way to maintain a premium for human made art I’ll check out some of those music generators! These new technologies are as dreadful as they are interesting to learn about ahah

    I kind of wish I just had a fake list of tasks that one might usually expect in such a role. I need to build a portfolio, but I generally struggle when I’m not given something to create. It doesn’t help that I honestly don’t know what graphic designers “actually” make when they work for people. Unless you are a web designer, logo designer, etc… that’s your own business. I needs experience working for someone. If no one tells me what to do I will get an idea and leave it half way finished. I have ADHD, and I know I have the ability, but my mind works best under pressure. Creating fake deadlines for fake designs for fake pay is probably the only way for me to do this, but no matter how much I plead with friends to help me out they will tell me to draw or design something stupid, super easy, or inappropriate for a portfolio.

      @@Tre-333 The day after I left the original comment my friend told me he'd manage an art and design twitter for free. He's kind of a bro, and thinks of it as a way to put social media manager on his resume. So he's basically become my boss and I've already got a couple thousand likes on my WIP illustration. I didn't even ask. They were like "hey man you should start posting your stuff on social media." I said I can't motivate myself enough to produce complete works or constantly post. Then he offered.

    Nice! Right on time, when I got my first feedback from my job Graphical Designer/Illustrator application with job tasks that I did yesterday (it was a deadline) cuz I'm little bit more skilled than in this video :D So, it kinda gives me confidence to land that position like next week or so on cuz they have few more applicants besides me :D And talking about AI situation, I think that it only gonna replace junior positions in graphical designers and not senior cuz at the end of the day they were doing basic ass jobs all day every day :D

      Yeah I agree, AI will come for junior designers first and then mid level. It’ll eventually eat up some senior roles but spare some of the roles, as a human intervention and creative direction will still be needed. That is, until we reach A.I. singularity at which point every career path is screwed 🤷‍♂️ Congrats on the new graphical design job btw 👏
